“The most important relationship you’ll ever have is the one you have with yourself.”

When that relationship feels confusing, strained, or even exhausting, therapy can help you to understand what’s going on and begin to reconnect with yourself.

Legacy therapy louise session with female patient

Hi, I’m Louise.

I’m a therapist based in Rayleigh, Essex, offering sessions both in person and online, so you can choose what feels most comfortable for you.

I’m registered with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), fully insured, and hold an up-to-date DBS check.

I offer a calm, supportive space where you can talk openly and begin to make sense of whatever might be going on in your life.

What I Do

Therapy is a space where you don’t have to hold everything together on your own. My role is to sit alongside you while you make sense of what’s been happening in your life, at a pace that feels right for you.

Most importantly, I offer grounded and non-judgmental counselling, creating a space where you can talk openly and explore whatever is on your mind.

In our work together, I will:

  • Sit with you while you navigate life’s difficulties, offering support without judgement
  • Help you understand why certain patterns repeat and why you might feel the way you do
  • Notice and celebrate the wins with you, because progress often comes in small but meaningful steps
  • Work with you to understand your triggers, emotions and reactions
  • Help you make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface, not just in the moment
  • Support you in building self-awareness, healthy boundaries and emotional regulation
  • Help you reconnect with your sense of self, especially if you’ve been in survival mode for a long time

I believe that you are the expert of your own life. You decide what you want to bring to each session, and together we work at a pace that feels safe and manageable.

Over time, many people find they move from simply coping with life to feeling steadier, more confident, and more in control of their emotions and choices.
